Got about 5 and a half hours in Disney yesterday. Even for that amount I got a lot in before heading to the airport to fly home. I was in town to drop my daughter off at the college program.
Trying out the whoop strap trial. Seems like it hits all the needs I have. Hoping the journal aspect actually leads to good insights for my sleep.
Imagine trying to sell people on your non-alcoholic seltzer like that isn’t just regular seltzer…Like no you’re not selling 0% Hard Seltzer you are literally selling seltzer.
Using Things and Bear apps on iOS says everything about what I expect in app design. Make it simple and make it easy to use.
Remnant 2 is a really good game. I’m not sure how replayable the game will be with its “random” worlds, but beating one of the bosses has been one of my favorite gaming moments of the last at year. Best played with friends in coop for extra celebration when you finally get the boss.
What’s in My Bag, 2023 | Matt Mullenweg Might need to do my own what’s in my bag after seeing this one. Definitely much less than Matt’s though.
Been playing the video game Jusant since getting the Xbox Series X for Xmas and this game is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I no longer have the reflexes to play all these fast action shooters and the mega man style jump fests. This exploration is perfect and good soundtrack too. 🎮

About 20% in and it’s a slow start but seems like a lot of back story to uncover.

Working in biotech is stressful right now as funds and investment is tight. That said I’ve never worked at a company I want to succeed more than the one I’m at now. Things I’m thinking about as we start our holiday shutdown.
Haven’t thought much about my yearly theme for 2024. Starting to spitball ideas to get settled before the holiday.
If Everton were to get even four points returned in appeal they’d move up to 12th place. Dyche was the pragmatic choice but clearly the right one. They’d be 9th with no penalty.
Really understanding the issues we face in saving the collapsing bee, insect and bird populations is huge right now. If people stopped spraying for bugs and planted a small area of native plants especially things like oaks, goldenrods and milkweed we’d see immediate improvements
Currently reading the book Nature’s Best Hope and starting the plan to grow a lot more native plants next year and take out a good chunk of my lawn as well. Hoping to get a lot of milkweed grown and see a lot of Monarch Butterflies.
I don’t know why I haven’t listened to boygenius yet (I love Bridgers music), but decided today was the day. My daughter was right this album is amazing.
Finished reading: City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett 📚
This was the second time I read this book and I loved it just as much as the first. Putting the second book City of Blades on the TBR for 2024.
Everton FC. Us against the world. UTFT! ⚽️
I don’t get depressed too often but man if I didn’t feel used up yesterday. Working from home is not something I’ve really found works for me and I feel much worse on those days.
Looking for new podcast recommendations. I’ve had to remove a whole bunch of the ones I usually listen to as they just don’t do it for me. I don’t want to point fingers at certain ones, but there has been a lot lately that just run to long and I get to the end wondering what even was the point.
